Many think that Skyscrapers are the architectural trademark of our era. But Bologna already looked like a Medieval Manhattan in the 12th Century. Bologna in the 12th Century was filled with giant stone towers that looked like modern skyscraper.
They were built by competing rich and noble families and trade guilds.
